Ibiza boat trips

Es Vedrà

The Island of “Es Vedrà” is one of our Ibiza boat trips and favorite Ibiza day trips. The Island is located in the Southwest of the Island of Ibiza. The Island is part of the Natural Park of “Es Vedrà, Es Vedranell and Els Illots de Ponent”. The Island of Es Vedrà is only accessible by sea. Therefore, if you want to visit it, you will have to hire our Ibiza boat trips. From “Cala D’Hort”, in Ibiza, you can contemplate its monumental beauty.

The Island shows a great endemic variety of vegetation and fauna. The lizard from Ibiza is a very protected species which lives there. Some years ago, there were about forty goats. But the Balearic Government decided to exterminate them to preserve the vegetation of the area. The Rock measures 382 meters and is one of the highest points of the Islands. Undoubtedly one of the most interesting Ibiza boat trips of the Islands.

The Ibiza day trips on board our luxury sailing boat are full of satisfied customers. In the image you can see a satisfied customers and in the background is Es Vedrà

In our Ibiza boat trips we like to explain our clients the story of father Palau. Father Palau wa a Carmelite priest who arrived on the island of Ibiza in 1851 and spent long periods as a hermit in Es Vedrà. He fed on the native plants themselves. Father Palau said he had witnessed Marian apparitions and had a direct contact with God. In the same way, in our Ibiza boat trips, we explain to our customers the myths and legends of the Islands. The islet of Es Vedrà, the Southwest coast of Mallorca and the Peñón of Ifach in Alicante, constitute a kind of “Mediterranean Triangle” similar to the “Bermuda Triangle” where ships experience failures in their navigation devices. The supposed magnetic radiation of the islet has been compared with that of the stones of Stonehenge, the pyramids of Egypt and that of the statues of Easter Island. In 1979 a Spanish commercial plane was chased by an UFO in the position of Es Vedrà for eight minutes forcing the pilot to make an emergency landing at the Valencia Airport.

In order to make our Ibiza day trips and our Ibiza boat trips, we usually leave from the beach of Ses Salines. Form there, we head West-Northwest towards Es Vedrà. The beach of Ses Salines is the best place to start our Ibiza day trips and our Ibiza boat trips to other places on the Island.

After forty-five minutes sailing, we will reach the mysterious an enigmatic rock of Es Vedrà. In our Ibiza boat trips to Es Vedrà, we usually sail between the two islets, Es Vedrà and Es Vedranell. Betwenn the two islets there is a narrow passage flanked by the high walls of these stone giants. There is a natural lagoon inside the island of Es Vedranell. In all of our Ibiza boat trips we come into this lagoon and invite our clients to take a dip in its waters. After crossing through this passage that separates the two islets, we anchor on the north side  of Es Vedranell. There, our clients of Ibiza boat trips enjoy snorkelling or paddle surfing. In other occasions, we anchor in the small island of Sa Galera, in front of the North face of Es Vedrà. Our clients of Ibiza boat trips enjoy the bath protected by these monumental stone giants.

The Pirate Tower and Atlantis

In our Ibiza boat trips to Es Vedrà, usually anchor in Cala D’Hort so that our clients enjoy the local gastronomy and visit some of the most famous restaurants of the islands in the preparation of rice dishes. There are different options of Ibiza day trips that allow us to access beautiful places without using a boat. As we mentioned in another previous post, Cala D’Hort is a great option to take your Ibiza day trips by land and enjoy magnificent views of Es Vedrà. But, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful Ibiza day trips to enjoy the views of Es Vedrà is the “Torre d’Es Savinar”. The Torre d’Es Savinar is a watchtower built in 1756 that still retains its main gate. Although initially conceived as an artillery tower, it was eventually used as a watchtower. Also known as “The Pirate Tower” or “Torre d’Es Cap des Jueu” is one of the most beautiful places to take your Ibiza day trips. Another nice destination of your Ibiza day trips is “Atlantis”, commented in the same way in another previous post. However, we recommend visiting this enclave through our Ibiza boat trips, since the access by land contains great difficulty. Do not miss all this Ibiza day trips if you come to our islands and remember, the best option to get to know the islands will always be to take your Ibiza boat trips with us, with ALINA SAILING.
